Integrative Counselling
Integrative counselling is a type of therapy that combines different approaches and techniques from various counselling theories to suit the unique needs of each client. Rather than sticking to a single method, integrative counselling blends elements from multiple therapeutic models, such as:
Humanistic approaches (e.g., Person-Centered Therapy) – focusing on self-awareness and personal growth.
Cognitive-behavioral approaches (e.g., CBT) – addressing thought patterns and behaviors.
Psychodynamic approaches – exploring past experiences and unconscious influences.
The idea is that no single approach works for everyone, so an integrative counsellor tailors therapy based on the client’s needs, preferences, and circumstances. This flexibility allows for a more personalized and holistic form of support.

As an Integrative Counsellor Helen adapts the way she practices to suit the person she is working with, firstly building trust to ensure her client feels safe and accepted enough to open up.
In sessions Helen provides a safe, supportive space where you can speak openly; this will be your time to put down any pressure you feel, untangle the overwhelm, and start making sense of what is happening for you.
Where necessary, together you will explore deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck, helping you to become aware of and challenge thoughts and behaviours which are no longer serving you.
Helen always works at your pace and helps you to find the answers that lie within you. Step by step, you’ll start feeling lighter, clearer, and more in control.
